Classic
The most natural look achieved with lash extensions.
1 individual lash extension will be attached to 1 individual natural lash. Can look very dense and dramatic based on how many natural lashes the client has, and length of lash extension the client desires.
Hybrid
50/50 of Classic lashes and Volume lashes.
Volume/Mega
Volume: 3-8 very fine/thin individual lash extensions create a "fan" custom hand-made, depending on the density of the client’s individual natural lash.
Mega Volume: 8-15 lashes in each handmade fan.
One fan placed on each natural lash.
Am I a good candidate for lash extensions?
Most people are good candidates for lash extensions, but there are a few factors that could suggest that you would be a better fit for a lash lift instead.
Factors that may make you a better fit for a lash lift include:
Thyroid medications
Very oily skin
Hormonal changes (menopause, pregnancy, etc.)
The prescription medication Accutane
Very active lifestyle — excessive sweating, especially activities like hot yoga

Are lash extensions damaging?
No way! When lash extensions are applied by a licensed professional with proper training, damage to your natural lashes should never occur.
At A Little Lash Shop, we use a variety of different lengths and diameters of lashes. Different lash diameters (the thickness of the lash extensions) are used based on the condition of your natural, individual lashes. If you have naturally thick lashes, we can use a thicker diameter lash. If your lashes are on the finer side, we will use very fine lash extensions that will not put too much extra weight and tension on your natural lash. Lash extensions that are too heavy for your natural lash can result in damage.
We always err on the side of caution and use extensions that will keep the integrity of your natural lashes in the best possible shape.
What does retention mean?
Retention refers to how well and how long the lash extensions stay bonded to your natural lash.
Changes in hormones, such as pregnancy and menopause, and even birth control, as well as thyroid medications, can negatively impact the longevity/retention of your lash extensions.
Following proper aftercare instructions is a crucial step in achieving great retention. Following aftercare will not only keep your natural lashes healthy and strong, it will also keep your lash extensions looking and feeling their best, and staying put!
I’ve heard that you're not supposed to get your lash extensions wet. Is that true?
It is recommended that you do not get your lash lift or lash extensions wet for 24 hours after your appointment. Beyond 24 hours, you MUST wash your lashes. Aftercare instructions are always provided both verbally and visually at the end of your initial appointment and we’re always available by phone if you ever have any quesitons.

An instructional postcard is given to you to take home, so you can refer back to the info when and if you need to.

Not washing your lashes can result in eye conditions, such as Blepharitis (inflamed, scaly, red, crusty, and flaky eyelid skin) and/or Demodex Folliculitis (an overgrowth of microscopic parasites found in the follicles of the lashes...aka Lash Mites.)
